Hi, I’m Ryan — a Certified Massage Therapist with over 20 years of experience helping people relax, reset, and feel more at ease in their bodies. I began my training in 1999 at the School of Shiatsu & Massage and later graduated from the National Holistic Institute with a Massage Therapist & Health Educator Certificate. Over the years, I’ve worked in several highly regarded luxury spas throughout Sonoma and Napa County, developing a style that blends effective therapeutic work with a calm, comfortable experience. I currently work full-time at a luxury resort in the City of Sonoma and offer private sessions through Massage Sonoma during my off hours. I offer custom, in-home massage throughout Sonoma and Napa counties, as well as a limited number of in-studio appointments in Santa Rosa and Petaluma. Because I keep my practice intentionally small, availability may be limited — but each session is unhurried, attentive, and tailored to your needs. I’m a lifelong Sonoma County local, and many of my private clients come through referrals or past spa guests who continue to seek out my work. If you’d like to read recent 5-star reviews from the spa, you can find them by searching "the Spa at the Lodge Sonoma reviews- Ryan" on Google.
Open communication is always encouraged. The more I understand your goals, preferences, and physical concerns, the better I can support you. I work collaboratively with my clients, combining clinical knowledge with attentive listening.
I bring over 1,000 hours of formal training and 20+ years of hands-on experience into every session, maintaining a calm, respectful, and professional environment where clients feel comfortable and well cared for.
Massage therapy works best when it’s consistent and tailored to you. My goal is to help reduce stress, improve mobility, and support your overall well-being through thoughtful, customized sessions.
When you work with the same therapist over time, your bodywork becomes more effective. I pay attention to patterns and progress so each session builds on the last — supporting lasting results, not just short-term relief.
Massage therapy can play an important role in managing stress, relieving chronic tension, supporting injury recovery, and maintaining overall health. Whether your focus is therapeutic relief or relaxation, each session is customized to your comfort level and specific needs.
If you have limitations, preferences, or particular goals, I am always happy to discuss them and adapt your session accordingly.
